Coming up in  October  and November, the Docker & Singularity<https://training.vib.be/all-trainings/docker-and-singularity-reproducible-and-automated-data-analysis> and NextFlow<https://training.vib.be/all-trainings/nextflow-reproducible-and-automated-data-analysis> trainings are open for registration, respectively. The Docker (and Singularity) for reproducible and automated data analysis training is happening on the 24th and 26th of October in Ghent.  This will be important for you to follow the Nextflow for reproducible and automated data analysis training that is happening on the 17th and 18th of October in Ghent.  Both Face-to-face sessions.



And more! Coming up in October, the FlowSOM<https://training.vib.be/all-trainings/flowsom-handling-cytometry-data-0> training will help you with Cytometrix experiments automation, while the ChIP-seq and ATAC-seq<https://training.vib.be/all-trainings/hands-introduction-chip-seq-and-atac-seq-analysis-0> training will go from processing to analysis so you can answer biological questions.

Docker (and Singularity) for reproducible and automated data analysis

Face to Face training

The course will introduce containers (Docker & Singularity) which are great components to achieve portability and reproducibility of your analysis. You will learn how to use containers and how to build a container from scratch, share it with others and how to re-use and modify existing containers. After an extensive explanation on Docker containers, Singularity will be highlighted as well.

Nextflow for reproducible and automated data analysis

17th to 18th November 2022 - Ghent

Face to Face training

You will learn how to use Nextflow for building scalable and reproducible bioinformatics pipelines and running them on a personal computer, cluster, and cloud. Starting from the basic concepts, we will build our own simple pipeline and add new features with every step, all in the new DSL2 language.

FlowSOM for handling cytometry data

10th October 2022 - Ghent

Face to Face training

The number of markers, cells and samples measured in cytometry experiments keeps increasing. While this offers unique opportunities, it also complicates the traditional manual gating process, which becomes time-consuming and subjective. Replacing the manual gating by an automated pipeline can solve these issues. In this workshop, we will explore how to handle cytometry data in R, with a focus on the FlowSOM clustering algorithm.

Hands on introduction to ChIP-seq and ATAC-seq analysis

28th October 2022 - Leuven

Face to Face training

This training gives an introduction to ChIP-seq and ATAC-seq data analysis, covering the processing steps starting from the reads to the peaks. Among all possible downstream analyses, the practical aspect will focus on motif analyses. A particular emphasis will be put on deciding which downstream analyses to perform depending on the biological question.
