At the Institute for Life Science and Technology at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences there is a vacancy for a Data Steward (0.8 FTE).

Do you have data skills and affinity with data and are you looking to play a key role in biomedical research within a large interdisciplinary consortium?
Function description

As Data Steward at the Institute for Life Science and Technology you will:
· Develop and disseminate policy in Research Data Management (RDM) according to FAIR principles.
· Communicate with consortium partners in different fields of research and provide support for developing Data Management Plans and Standard Operating Procedures.
· Organise and manage data of the partners, and make them accessible according to FAIR principles, enabling integrated analysis.
· Develop training material for and give workshops on RDM, FAIR principles, and tools/applications in relation to research, both for consortium partners and for the education within the Hanze UAS.

· Contribute to further development of strategies and policies related to data management within Hanze UAS.

Where will you work?

You will work for the Institute for Life Science and Technology as part of the team Bioinformatics (responsible for the Bachelor Bioinformatics and the Master Data Science for Life Sciences). The team is small and has a personal atmosphere. The courses are well appreciated by students and the professional field. You will work closely together with the Lector Data Science for Life Sciences and Health and the senior lecturer research. Part of the work will be exercised within the Knowledge Center Biobased Economy (KCBBE), which is aimed at applied science contributing to a healthy and sustainable society. In addition, you will be active in a dynamic interdisciplinary consortium of universities, medical centres, and other organisations together conducting research on so-called poly-Q genetic disorders, which include Huntington's disease, aimed at improved diagnosis and treatment.
