<div class=""><i class="">The biodata mining team (ADReM / biomina) aims to remove important limitations in the interpretation of big molecular data with cutting-edge data mining technologies. In this project we will study new pattern-mining algorithms to incorporate
contextual biomolecular information in approaches to discover patterns that are novel, interesting and unexpected.</i></div>

</span>You prepare a doctoral thesis in the field of biomolecular data mining.</div>

</span>You publish scientific articles related to the research project of the assignment.</div>

</span>You contribute to teaching and research in biomedical data mining and bioinformatics in the Faculties of Sciences and Biomedicine.</div>

</span>You hold a master degree in computer science, mathematics, (bio)statistics, bioinformatics; or life sciences (if you are computationally strong).</div>

</span>You can submit outstanding academic results.</div>

is useful but not necessary. You are enthusiastic about multi-disciplinary collaborations and eager to think outside the box. You have excellent (English) communication skills.</div>

</span>a doctoral scholarship for a period of two years, with the possibility of renewal for a further two-year period after positive evaluation;</div>

</span>the start date of scholarship will be 1 October, 1 November or 1 December 2016 or 1 January 2017;</div>

</span>a gross monthly grant ranging from € 2.189,88 - € 2.334,46;</div>
