A broad community of stakeholders recently described a set of guiding principles to ensure that scientific data be <a href="http://www.nature.com/articles/sdata201618" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration:none">Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and
Reusable (FAIR)</span></a>. This workshop will provide an introduction to FAIR Data Stewardship in the context of the <a href="http://ec.europa.eu/research/openscience/index.cfm?pg=open-science-cloud" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration:none">European
research initiatives</span></a>. The morning session will provide a brief introduction to the key issues and ample time for discussion. The afternoon session will be devoted to a practical introduction to data ‘FAIRification’ using real-life datasets. Depending
on workshop attendance, the practical session may include hands-on coding activity guided by the workshop organizers.
