If you are interested in submitting a topic for a BoF session, please send an e-mail to Patrick Kemmeren <patrick.kemmeren@umcutrecht.nl>! *Industry meeting at the BioSB 2015* As in former editions of the NBIC conferences, the Bioinformatics Industrial User Platform will organise a BIUP meeting <https://www.aanmelder.nl/biosb2015/wiki/93724/biup%20meeting> specifically aimed at conference participants from industry. The meeting is planned on *May 21*, during the Birds of a Feather sessions. The meeting will include two talks on practical insights from industrial participants of Oxford Nanopore’s MinION early access program. On *May 20* a parallel session on Bioinf and SysBio in practice: industrial & medical applications <https://www.aanmelder.nl/biosb2015/wiki/93733/parallel%20session%20h%3a%20bioinf%20and%20sysbio%20in%20practice> is planned with talks selected by abstract submission. *Challenges of Data Stewardship session* In a lively interactive shared ELIXIR/ISBE session <https://www.aanmelder.nl/biosb2015/wiki/93715/elixir-isbe%20session> on *May 21* the 'Challenges of Data Stewardship' will be presented and discussed. After a short introduction on data stewardship, and FAIR data a Questions and Discussion session with the theme: 'Data stewardship is not as easy as many of us think' is planned. In the afternoon short updates on ELIXIR-NL and ISBE are planned. Additional information follows shortly. *BioSB PhD retreat 2015 - May 19* The RSG Netherlands invites bioinformatics and systems biology PhD and Master students for the 2015 edition of the BioSB PhD retreat <https://www.aanmelder.nl/biosb2015/wiki/115728/rsg%20retreat> in Lunteren, on *May 19*, the day preceding the BioSB2015. The BioSB 2015 combines the annual Netherlands Bioinformatics Conference (NBIC) and the annual Systems Biology Symposium (SB@NL). Because of the success of the NBIC conference format in the past, the BioSB conference will be organised in the familiar style: a 2-day conference at Congrescentrum De Werelt in Lunteren. The BioSB 2015 will be co-organised by the BioSB research school <http://www.biosb.nl/> and the Utrecht Bioinformatics Center <http://ubc.uu.nl/>. *Subscribe to the BioSB newsletter* to stay up to date about the BioSB 2015 conference and the BioSB research school activities.Subscribe here <http://biosb.nl/newsletter/>.
