Dear all,
Reproducible computational research is becoming a baseline expectation in life sciences. Journals, funders, and collaborators increasingly expect analyses that are transparent, shareable, and rerunnable.
Thatโs why VIB Training & Conferences, in collaboration with
Ghent University, is once again offering the micro-credential
Over 9 days (AprilโJune 2026), youโll build practical, hands-on skills in:
โข Git & GitHub for version control
โข High Performance Computing infrastructure
โข Docker & Apptainer for containerisation
โข Nextflow for automated workflows
The focus is on tools you can immediately apply to your own projects, whether youโre a PhD student, postdoc, staff scientist, or industry professional in the life sciences.
Not ready to commit to the full micro-credential? Each course can also be followed individually. This allows you to:
โข Target a specific skill gap (e.g., containers or workflow automation)
โข Combine training with a busy research schedule
Registrations are now open. Seats are limited to ensure interactive, hands-on learning.
And here are the registration pages for the individual courses:
Best regards,
Alex
