Reproducible computational research is becoming a baseline expectation in life sciences. Journals, funders, and collaborators increasingly expect analyses that are transparent, shareable, and rerunnable.

That’s why VIB Training & Conferences, in collaboration with Ghent University, is once again offering the micro-credential 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 (3 ECTS).

Over 9 days (April–June 2026), you’ll build practical, hands-on skills in:
• Git & GitHub for version control
• High Performance Computing infrastructure
• Docker & Apptainer for containerisation
• Nextflow for automated workflows

The focus is on tools you can immediately apply to your own projects, whether you’re a PhD student, postdoc, staff scientist, or industry professional in the life sciences.

Not ready to commit to the full micro-credential? Each course can also be followed individually. This allows you to:
• Target a specific skill gap (e.g., containers or workflow automation)
• Combine training with a busy research schedule
