Please find below an update on the BioSB 2021 conference that will be held on June 15-16.

Reminder call for abstracts 
There is only one week left to submit your abstract for an oral or highlight presentation at the BioSB 2021 conference; deadline: May 3rd (23:59)
The main programme of the conference will feature several parallel sessions that will be set up via abstract selection. You can submit an abstract for an oral presentation, a highlight presentation and/or for a poster or demo presentation. You can find the list with submission topics here. Submissions about services and infrastructure for researchers in the life sciences are also welcome, please make sure you then also select the ELIXIR-NL topic.

Submission deadlines:
  • Oral & highlight presentations: May 3, 2021 - 23h59 (will not be extended!)
  • Notification date: May 17, 2021
  • Posters & demos: May 23, 2021
Call BioSB Young Investigator Award 2021
You can nominate a young researcher for the BioSB Young Investigator Award 2021 (12th edition). The award will be given to a promising young researcher in the bioinformatics or systems biology field. The candidate must have conducted his/her bioinformatics or systems biology research primarily in a Dutch institute.The winner will receive a prize of 500 Euros sponsored by the BioSB research school and will be invited to present an honorary lecture during the plenary program of BioSB 2021. Nomination deadline: May 3rd!

About the BioSB 2021 conference - 15-16 June 2021
The BioSB 2021 conference discusses the latest developments in bioinformatics, systems and computational biology and interrelated disciplines, and their wide-ranging applications in life sciences & health, agriculture, food & nutrition.  
The conference will be organized as a virtual conference, featuring:
  • keynote lectures
  • parallel sessions featuring selected, highlight and invited talks
  • poster & demo sessions
  • network breaks
