Postdoc position in CGH arrays analysis
The Institute for Theoretical Physics of the KULeuven in a joint
project with the Department of Electrical Engineering-ESAT (KULeuven)
invites applications for a two years post-doctoral position in the
domain of
CGH arrays analysis.
Project
The project involves the development of software packages for the
analysis of CGH arrays. The packages will rely upon the
physico-chemical properties of the hybridization process, which will be
described by models from equilibrium and nonequilibrium
thermodynamics. The algorithms will be tested and validated against
Next-Generation Sequencing data. The project is Interdisciplinary and
will involve close collaborations between physicists and
bioinformaticians of the KULeuven.
Profile
We look for an enthusiastic candidate with a background in one of
these fields Bioinformatics, Engineering, or Computational Biology. The
ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of programming and
experiences with microarray data analysis and with software development
in Computational Biology.
