The Computational Systems Biology group at KU Leuven is looking for a PhD student in the DART pathways project supported by the NC3Rs. The student will work on phylogenetic reconstructions for genes in pathways relevant to Developmental And Reproductive Toxicity, to improve the orthology assignments between human, animal test species and alternative test models. These will be used in a tool that aids in the selection of alternative models for toxicity testing and the reduction of animal tests.
