PoreCamp (Birmingham, 14-18 December 2015) - A training bootcamp based around Oxford Nanopore MinION sequencing

Dear all, From 14-18 December 2015 PoreCamp will be run at the University of Birmingham. PoreCamp is a training bootcamp based around Oxford Nanopore MinION sequencing. It is a unique opportunity to learn about this exciting new sequencing platform from some of the leading experts in the field. PoreCamp will be entirely hands-on; participants will gain practical experience in library preparation, operation of the MinION and data analysis. As far as I know this is the first course of its kind in the UK, possibly in Europe, or even the world! The registration fee for PoreCamp is £500, but there are a limited number of bursaries available to cover registration costs. More information (including how to apply) can be found at: http://porecamp.github.io. Note that the deadline for application is coming Wednesday 11 November 2015 at 6pm UK time. Please feel free to forward this mail and the attached flyer to anyone potentially interested.
