Postdoc position 'Integrated analysis of genomic and epigenomic alterations in developmental disorders' (IB2, ULB, Brussels) A Postdoc position on 'Integrated analysis of genomic and epigenomic alterations in developmental disorders' is available at the Interuniversity Institute of Bioinformatics in Brussels (IB2, Vrije Universiteit Brussel VUB and Université Libre de Bruxelles ULB, Belgium). The research goal is to contribute to the development of new bioinformatic methodologies that could lead to increase the genetic diagnostic yield by integrating multi-omics data (Whole genome sequencing, Infinium DNA methylation). Both fundamental and clinical aspects will be addressed by using NGS data that will be produced in the context of the IGenCare 'Integrated Medical Genomics Care Solution for Patients with Rare Genetic Diseases' project. The position is funded for 2 years by an International research mobility fellowship and could start as early as April 3, 2018. The International research mobility fellowship rules require that the fellow has not resided or carried out its main activity (employment, studies) in Belgium for more than 24 months during the last 3 years. The candidate should hold a PhD in bioinformatics, molecular biology or in computer sciences and demonstrate proficiency in genomics, algorithmics, statistics and in software development (R, python). Experience with whole genome sequencing or massive datasets analysis would be a plus. The applicant should also demonstrate interest for interdisciplinary research.
