Dear member of the CIL doctoral school, On Tuesday, Januari 22, the Declarative Languages and Artificial Intelligence research group of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven organizes the symposium "Recent Trends in Data Mining" at the Arenberg Castle, Kasteelpark Arenberg 1, 3001 Heverlee, Belgium. The symposium starts at 10 am and includes three invited speakers: Bernhard Pfahringer (University of Waikato, New Zealand), Luís Torgo (University of Porto, Portugal) and Joaquin Vanschoren (KULeuven). After the symposium, Anneleen Van Assche will defend her PhD "Improving the applicability of ensemble methods in data mining" (in Dutch).
