The abstract deadline is 15th of January. Authors of accepted abstracts submit 4-page papers by 15th of March. See in more details below. ************************************************************* We would like to draw your attention to our upcoming workshop Sixth International Workshop on Computational Systems Biology (WCSB 2009) to be held in Aarhus (Århus), Denmark, June 10 to June 12, 2009. CALL FOR PAPERS See the attached call for papers. WORKSHOP WEB PAGE: http://www.cs.tut.fi/wcsb09/ AIMS AND SCOPE WCSB aims at bringing together the various communities involved in the different aspects of computational systems biology research, e.g. experimental biology, machine learning, signal processing, mathematics, statistics, and theoretical physics. The scientific program includes invited plenary talks as well as regular sessions with contributed research talks and posters. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS Erik De Schutter, Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, Okinawa, Japan Ilya Shmulevich, Institute for Systems Biology, Seattle, USA Jean-Philippe Vert, Mines ParisTech, Paris, France Stephen Wong, Methodist Hospital Research Institute, Houston, Texas, USA CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS The speciality of WCSB is that the papers of all accepted talks and posters will be published in a special series of refereed proceedings. Therefore, all prospective authors are first asked to submit a title and abstract (max. 120 words) of their research (see schedule below). Based on the abstracts, the scientific committee will then decide which abstracts will be extended as four page papers in the proceedings. IMPORTANT DATES Submission deadline for abstract: January 15, 2009 Notification of acceptance: January 31, 2009 Submission deadline for paper: March 15, 2009 Submission deadline for camera-ready paper: April 30, 2009 Early bird registration deadline: April 30, 2009 LOCATION AND VENUE With a population of more than 300,000, Aarhus is the second largest city in Denmark, beautifully located between the sea, forests, and hills, on the eastern coast of Jutland, 300 km from Copenhagen. Being the cultural centre of Jutland, Aarhus is termed as an active city displaying Denmark's best music and entertainment scenes. One of the most visited places in Aarhus is Den Gamle By (The Old Town), which is an open-air museum that houses 75 restored buildings. The event will be held at Aarhus University.
