Dear All, September 14th or 17th (not really sure ...) two Cuban students will arrive for a short stay (in the framework of VLIR, like Isis) in the lab. They work on networks (if I'm well informed, which is not always easy dealing with Cubans :-), and it would be nice if you could help them a little with their project, as Yvan did with Isis. Cuban students are pretty smart, but need sometimes a bit of guidance and I hope you can find some time to talk with them and exchange some ideas, and make them feel welcome. Van Yves begrijp ik dat in Gent alles reeds geregeld is. Misschien is het daarom beter om die studenten de eerste 2 maanden in Gent te laten, en dan is er tijd om de verhuis naar Hasselt te plannen. De reservatie van de kamer in Gent in korten tot 2 maanden is misschien nog mogelijk, in elk geval minder lastig dan die kamer nu te gaan annuleren. You are right in the plan of Gladis and Maria. They told with me about their plan recently. They had planned to live in Ghent all time and go daily to Hasselt, but I recommend them that they live the firsts days in Ghent but talk with Prof. Koen Vanhoof about the possibility of living in Hasselt the first month. But, may be You can help them in this aspect.

This morning I have been contacted by Yves van der Peer, because there is some confusion about the visit of Gladis Casas and Maria del C. Yves is expecting them on the 14th of stepmber. Do you have a mail in which he agrees with this plan. This plan was seems to be 1 month at Univ of Hasselt, with Prof. Koen Vanhoff, and then 2 months at the University of Ghent with Prof. Yves Van de Peer.
