Hi,
in the meanwhile I'm sharing someone's dommel subscription and i must say it's wonderful. I'm pretty surprised from the speeds i can manage to get. 2.5MB/s on bittorrent
Do you mean 2,5 Megabit (about 400 kilobyte a second) or really a whopping 2,5 Megabyte a second. If it's the second case I'm gonna call our landlord to convince him switch providers :) , that's more than I used to get when having telenet! But I am living less than 1km from the central access point, maybe I can get the maximum out of the line this way.
Also, I'm on the 'no limit' account, so all Star Seasons, here I come ;)

-12 Mbps is indeed the maximum speed you can get with ADSL, unless you live really close to central (<1km). To compare: only with cable (Telenet) you can get up to 15 Mbps. I've read promises about a technical upper limit of 24Mbps, but living within a range of 1km to the central at Sint Pieters station, I think that's exaggerated.
I'm taking this back. Out of curiosity I just called EDPnet to measure out my connection. Apparently the connection has been that stable since the beginning of May that they're now upgrading my line to 20 Mbps. There's a chance this won't work, and then they're falling back to 15 Mbps, which still sounds nice.
