This solution doesn't seem to work either, but I wouldn't be surprised 
if ports 465 and 587 are blocked here anyway.

Anyway, the IT solution will be to just use our own smtp-server 
(smtp.psb.ugent.be on port 25)... shouldn't make any difference.
