PSB is the domain they will be using in the future, the FVMS one will be phased out. This is one of those migration projects of IT that will likely never finish. I have always used FVMS, raf tried to switch me to PSB after which I lost all my settings. I just turned back to FVMS... from Boston, Thomas BTW: IT here is great. Some quotes: "Our motto: we are here to serve you", "we will work around your schedule", "we only do updates on Sunday night, but if that inconveniences you, we'll reschedule to your liking", "what computer do you want? mac or PC? laptop or desktop? one or two screens? 17', 19' or widescreen?", "officially support hours are from 9-17 on businessdays, but we are available from 7-19, 7 days a week" PS: Can you ask IT to make the SMPT server available from outside the building, I'm unable to send any mails from my psb account. Aaah, thank you. I'd been browsing through the security center but hadn't found it yet. Does anyone know what IT's plan is with these two domains?

Yup,
you can fix this yourself. Control Panel -> Security Center -> Internet Options Select local intranet, then click Sites, then Advanced. Add nas1.psb.ugent.be and nas2.ugent.psb.be to the list.
I haven't figured out how to get your settings back and I can't change the files on my local D drive I made using the fvms domain :p

Is anyone else using the psb domain? I've just tried it, lost a lot of my settings, and now I get a security popup every time I want to open a network program (firefox, thunderbird, even "display desktop"). It's rather annoying. Anyone else had this problem?
