Hm, hibernation should still be ok as it doesn't use _any_ power at all. You simply boot up from an image taken from your RAM (I don't mean with a camera). Sleeping still uses power, as all (I don't know exactly what all is) is put into RAM and that uses about as much power as a couple of wristwatches .. :) It all depends how IT checks weither a computer is on or not. -Kenny On Tue, 24 Feb 2009, Sofie Van Landeghem wrote:
BTW, wasn't IT going to do something about hibernation? Or what was that energy saving email about? (13/02/2009 9:33, @ all) Or is hibernation still ok?

I got one too now .. Now I have to figure out how hibernation works on this box .. putting the computer to sleep is so goddamn easy (with a startup of less then 5sec :D)
.. and I still got spraypaint .. I've found light-light-blue and some leftover bronze at home. And here I still got silver and pi..purple ;)

check your ugent-mail. You can't take them home I suppose, but having some of them around (also useful for the brainstorm) can't hurt eh?

PS: room number is V204 (I had to check :p )
true... could come in handy.
I might also actually use one for my adapters (laptop, cell phone) here... those things keep using juice also while not in use. Now I just unplug them every evening.
Where do we sign up? Would they come in black (or pink)?
