Hello Everyone:
You
may have
already seen the posters in the building announcing that VIB HQ is
sponsoring a
workshop on Optical Sectioning and 3D microscopy in conjunction with
Carl
Zeiss. The workshop will have an associated display of Zeiss microscopy
systems
including their super sensitive confocal system LSM 780, cell observer
spinning
disk confocal and VivaTome structured illumination microscope. In order
to
accommodate these systems in a space with enough power and light
control we
will be taking over a part of the small cafeteria next to the seminar
room
for the week. To compensate for the inconvenience to building
staff Zeiss
will pay for anyone in the building who wishes to order a lunchtime
sandwich on
Thursday April 1st. If you would like to take advantage of this offer
just sign
up for your sandwich on the special pre-order sign up sheets at the
reception
anytime between Monday morning and Wednesday morning at 10AM.
Sandwiches will
be delivered Thursday as usual.
I would also encourage
any who
are interested in high resolution microscopy to attend the workshop. If
you
would like to Zeiss would appreciate your pre-registration atwww.zeiss.be/micro.
In addition you can
test the demo systems with your own samples should you wish.
I
hope the
disruption to your routine is minimal and thank you for your
understanding.
Best wishes,
Chris
