Is anyone else fan of the Anno series? Anno 1602, 1503, 1701 and now, recently released, 1404 :-) http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/pc/2009/06/12/anno-1404-dawn-of-discovery-rev...
If anybody should try it, let me know how it is! Maybe for some people with too much time on their hands, thpar? ;-) Well, only if you're into strategic games...
Never tried one of the anno games, although I enjoy strategy games. Like Michiel, I am more fan of Warcraft III and when I was younger, I suffered a while from the "one more turn" syndrome the Civilization series used to induce.
And concerning the too much time: I'm finally playing Grim Fandango and for when that's finished, I already bought the new Monkey Island. Besides, at this moment much times goes into - trying to do stairs - getting to the hospital for my daily massage :-) - deciding on how to get coffee to my sofa when needing both hands for crutches (reminds me, the coffee jug is still upstairs... sounds like a project for the next 20 minutes).
cheers, Thomas
Dude, despite being great games, those graphics must suck severely now. What's the resolution for Grim Fandango? 320*200 ? 640*480? For the interested: I found Spellforce to be quite a decent blend between RTS and RPG. Worth checking out if you have lots of time :) -- ================================================================== Michiel Van Bel PhD student Tel:+32 (0)9 331 36 95 fax:+32 (0)9 3313809 VIB Department of Plant Systems Biology, Ghent University Technologiepark 927, 9052 Gent, BELGIUM mibel@psb.vib-ugent.be http://www.psb.vib-ugent.be ==================================================================
