* I really loved 'Into the Wild'. Still playing in de Sphinx (but didn't you see that one already?). About a young guy who leaves behind his boring life with the dream to go live on his own in Alaska. * 'Aanrijding in Moscou' was fun... if only just because of the fact its filmed (and spoken) in Gent. The ones that look appealing to me (but haven't seen): -Paris: nice, simple romantic Paris picture -Horton: new picture from Ice Age creators. Looks very funny to me (main role spoken by Jim Carrey). It's been drawn after one of the books of Dr. Seuss (which I really liked as a kid). -Once: romance between two street musicians in Dublin. Main actors are professional musicians in real life as well. -There Will be Blood: about oil diggers in California. Has gotten excellent reviews. Have been slaughtered by the Humo I was reading: 10,000 BC: fake to the bone The Spiderwick Chronicles: another soulless movie of a child's book Hope this helps. If anyone was wondering... thanks to the tip to stay clear of "10.000 BC", we ended up going to "Vantage Point". It's a movie about the president of the US being shot somewhere in Spain, at the moment of trying to establish a sort of pact between Western & Arab leaders, against terrorism. The actual moment of him getting shot is shown like 5-6 times, each time from somebody else's perspective. So every time you learn something more about how/why it's happening, and each time they rewind and start back at the beginnning ;-) I thought it was quite nicely done, though maybe the ending was a bit disappointing, but I suppose I was expecting too much. Still a nice movie. Sofie Thomas Van Parys wrote:
