Even though issues of privacy etc have been raised years before this email, only recently Google has started to scare me. One of their latest : http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/see-where-your-friends-are-with-google... What is worrying me, is when this sort of application is installed without the user knowing. The "webhistory" thing is a nice example : when logged in on gmail in your browser, it remembers all the google searches you do, and stores them on your gmail account. This means that when Stephen is still logged in on my pc (which happens a lot), he can see my browsing history *live* and I can see his, when both being at a different place. Does that not freak you out? This actually happened last week, and when I told him about it, he had no idea the Webhistory thing was doing that... Should we be really afraid? ;-) Sofie
