[CCO-friends] CCO Version 0.9.8 Released

Dear all, we are pleased to announce the release of the Cell Cycle Ontology (http://www.cellcycleontology.org) version 0.9.8. For this release, up-to-date data from the main sources (GOA, GO, UniProt, and from orthoMCL execution) has been integrated. As usually, please refer to the application ontologies directly via the web site: http://www.cellcycleontology.org/ontology/cco_A_thaliana.obo http://www.cellcycleontology.org/ontology/cco_S_cerevisiae.obo http://www.cellcycleontology.org/ontology/cco_S_pombe.obo http://www.cellcycleontology.org/ontology/cco_H_sapiens.obo and/or the entire ontology: http://www.cellcycleontology.org/ontology/cco.obo Moreover, CCO can also be explored from the BioPortal (http://www.bioontology.org/ncbo/faces/pages/ontology_list.xhtml) as well as from the Ontology Lookup Service (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/ontology-lookup/). For further information please refer to http://www.cellcycleontology.org or contact cco@psb.ugent.be Regards, The CCO team

Hello Erick, Is it possible that ID's that existed before, disappeared now? One of the example-queries I made in onto-sparql, has a non-existent ID now. Ward Erick Antezana wrote:

Hi Ward, CCO is built for every release taking into account the latest data available in the main sources (GO, GOA, IntAct, and so on). Therefore, the CCO contents is very dynamical. Not only new terms are included in a new release, but might some terms disappear depending, as I mentioned, on the data sources. Although CCO is built from scratch for every release, the system keeps track of all the used IDs and if a term that was deleted is integrated again, it will get its original ID. cheers, Erick Ward Blondé wrote:
