Dear all, Initially we had planned to combine the CISCODE meeting with the new Marie Curie Training network SYSFLO, however Brendan and I have decided to cancel the SYSFLO part. The reason is that the negotiations with the EU have gone on much longer than anyone anticipated and hence delayed the start date (still not fixed). Also the new PhDs are not hired yet. Nevertheless, the CISCODE meeting will be held in Venice, although we need only the Friday 27th of November. We will start in the morning and therefore I suggest that you arrive on Thursday and depart at Saturday. Chiara Tonelli arranged a very nice hotel where we will have the meeting as well. Each partner has to book his own room by filling the attached registration form and send it to the hotel not later than November 2. Please send the names of the participants also to me. HOTEL INFORMATION Hotel Monaco Gran Canal (www.hotelmonaco.it <http://www.hotelmonaco.it/> ). It is very nice 4 stars near San Marco square. Double room euro 170.00 (breakfast included) Double room (1 person) or Single room euro 110.00 (breakfast included) Annex Palazzo Selvadenego (100 meters from the hotel) Double room euro 130.00 (breakfast included) Single room euro 95.00 (breakfast included) For the lunch on Friday, renting the meeting room and the coffee breaks we have to charge about 100€ as a kind of registration fee, which will be collected at the meeting. More information about the meeting will follow, but you can already arrange the flight and the reservation of the hotel. Therefore, Brendan and I have decided to cancel the SYSFLO meeting. The CISCODE meeting should still go on on Friday 27th of November. One day will be enough and we will start in the morning and have the lunch as you suggested (40€). This means that we need the the meeting room only for the Friday. Most likely we will be with about 20 persons like during the other meetings. I suggest that the people that arrive on Thursday arrange their own lunch and we can go for dinner on Thursday evening (probably not necessary to make a reservation. For the Friday evening we could go out for dinner as you suggested. The registration fee will be a little bit less (90-100€). I am sorry for the inconvenience and that we had to change the programme. I hope it will be not a problem for the hotel and meeting room. This afternoon I will send an email to all CISCODE partners regarding the hotel reservation etc. If you have anything to add, please let me know. Furthermore you want to start on Thursday morning or afternoon? Let me know your program in order to book the meeting room. The meeting room will be inside the Hotel. As you can see I obtained a little bit discount, but as you know Venice is quite expensive. The Hotel however is vey nice and the price being low season is quite reasonable for such hotel. Of course people if they want can book other Hotels. Let me know if this is ok Chiara ----- Messaggio Originale ----- Da: "Angenent, Gerco" <gerco.angenent@wur.nl> Data: Venerdi', Settembre 18, 2009 21:24 Oggetto: RE: RE: venice conference A: "Chiara Tonelli (chiara.tonelli)" <chiara.tonelli@unimi.it>
Dear Chiara, I discussed these options also with Brendan and we came to the following choices: We suggest to book the Dependance to limit the costs of the accomodation. We need a coffee break in the morning but also in the afternoon (12EUR per person??? do you get more than coffee or tea? The meeting room is OK. Is that the same as last time? Lunches: When it is possible to get a sandwich somewhere else (for 30 persons), I suggest to have one lunch in the hotel and the lunch on Friday somewhere else (simple lunch). Dinner: I leave that to you, because it is hard for me to make a choice. I hope that you can arrange it. Thanks a lot in advance. I will inform the CISCODE partners about this meeting on Monday. With kind regards Gerco
