[Confocal] olympus confocal: new argon laser - no DIC - reload problems (DM)

Dear all, Here some info concerning the olympus confocal: Today a new argon laser has been installed. So your samples should be very bright again The DIC channel is for the moment not fixed yet. I noticed some problems with reloading settings concerning the Dichroic mirror. Please after reloading the settings, check if you have the correct DM. This can influence your signal intensity a lot. I will inform you when these problems are fixed. If you encounter problems, please do inform me or Daniel. [Confocal] olympus confocal: do NOT switch off the argon laser (and laser combiner)

Dear confocal users, The Argon laser (458-488-515) is about to retire, after 8000 hours of use... For the moment he is still active, but please do NOT switch off till the new one is installed! Also the TD channel is still not active. This part went to the company for repairement. I will keep you informed when reparations are done.
