[Confocal] SD: dichroic exchanged for simultaneously imaging CFP/YFP, instead of GFP/RFP

Dear all, The 509 beamsplitter is now installed allowing to simultaneously image CFP/YFP. If you would like to simultaneously image GFP/RFP the beamsplitter needs to be changed to the 580 beamsplitter. This is physically taking out the filter and put the other one in, something that needs to be done by Daniel or me. Keep in mind that before using both cameras you ALWAYS need to calibrate first. This can be done through a userfriendly wizard 'Calibrate Multicamera' (under Video). If not clear, don't hesitate to ask for help. Dear all, The cameras of the spinning disc are exchanged as the rear camera (the mostly used one) gives a very pixeled image. The top camera is now on the place of the rear camera, but settings are for the moment still as top camera. With some adaptations you can use it as normal. Please contact me if you cant to use it, so I can help you with this. Dear all, The log in procedure for the Leica SP8 changed into an automatic log in with another userID. So, not longer username 'kodak' anymore. This new userID is part of testing out the possible cause for the 'firmware event code: timeout image transfer' which I mentioned in my previous email. In case that the username would be asked, please restart the PC which will allow you to be logged in automatically on this special user ID. Normally there will be no need to give in the username, except if someone logs out, which should in principle not be done. In case of questions, don't hesitate to contact Daniel or me. Dear all, If the following error (firmware event code, see picture below) would still appear, please let me know!! In principle, this shouldn't be the case anymore. This error was related to the problem with the part causing the problem for the brightfield light. As this part is completely new, we shouldn't have it anymore. [Confocal] Leica SP8: adapt value for bidirectional scanning!

Dear all, If you use the bidirectional scanning , please check and adapt if needed the Phase X value . This value should be on 24.08 and not on 0, which is recently the case. Not having the correct value results in bad images, see an example of the transmitted light below. I will look into getting the correct value again as default value, as it used to be. For the moment this note is also stitched to the wall at the SP8 to remind you about the number.
