[Confocal] SD: dichroic exchanged for simultaneously imaging CFP/YFP, instead of GFP/RFP

Dear all, The 509 beamsplitter is now installed allowing to simultaneously image CFP/YFP. If you would like to simultaneously image GFP/RFP the beamsplitter needs to be changed to the 580 beamsplitter. This is physically taking out the filter and put the other one in, something that needs to be done by Daniel or me. Keep in mind that before using both cameras you ALWAYS need to calibrate first. This can be done through a userfriendly wizard 'Calibrate Multicamera' (under Video). If not clear, don't hesitate to ask for help. [Confocal] Leica SP8X

Dear confocal users, The cooling system on the Leica leaks. The piece has been ordered and hopefully will arrive soon. If all goes well, it should be here next Monday (16/3). For now, we took the cooling box out to be able to monitor it. There is a red line which marks the lowest possible liquid level. When the liquid level reaches this point, contact me or Evelien. Failure to cool will render the system unstable. Also, the confocal box is open, so whenever you image, be careful not to push it. This is the only option to keep imaging until we have a repair unit. Also, no imaging is allowed before 9am or after 19h and also not in the weekend as there is no way to monitor this safely in the evening/night If you have questions, contact Evelien or me. cheers, d Prof. Dr. ir.
