[Confocal] SD: dichroic exchanged for simultaneously imaging CFP/YFP, instead of GFP/RFP

Dear all, The 509 beamsplitter is now installed allowing to simultaneously image CFP/YFP. If you would like to simultaneously image GFP/RFP the beamsplitter needs to be changed to the 580 beamsplitter. This is physically taking out the filter and put the other one in, something that needs to be done by Daniel or me. Keep in mind that before using both cameras you ALWAYS need to calibrate first. This can be done through a userfriendly wizard 'Calibrate Multicamera' (under Video). If not clear, don't hesitate to ask for help. Dear SP8 user, Could someone check if following shutter is in the good position? And please let me know how it was. Yesterday there was a problem causing no light through the eyepieces (but confocal mode is OK). Hopefully this is just because of the shutter. Hi all, Feel free to use the SP8 if you want imaging but just know that there is problem with the ocular lenses , see message below from Max. Cheers Amna ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Evelien, After switching switching from CS to BF, there was no more visual through the ocular lenses. The problem is only when looking through the lenses though, as brightfield images are still picked up by the system on the monitor. I assume some shutter is closed that shouldn't be? I have no idea where it went wrong though... Turning the computer and microscope off and on again unfortunately did not help.
