Dear confocal users, Could you check whether you still have data on de PC of both Zeiss 710 and Exciter locally and move this to the network programs? There is a lot of data there to find. Please do this before 16/03! After this day, I will delete all data. This action is required for a proper working of the software. [Confocal] evaluation of PC clean up Zeiss 710 (Exciter): no software errors anymore? Please inform me

Dear confocal users, The technician from Zeiss came for a check up of the Zeiss 710, as we recently had a serious problem with the software. Some actions has been done and we would like to evaluate this. Could you please report crashes or errors to Daniel or me? If you have other issues to be solved, please communicate, as a maintenance will be done, depending on the system, end of March/ April. This is a good moment to adress them to the company. [Confocal] adaptation of switching on Zeiss 710 and Zeiss Exciter to minimize the 'RTC reset intervention' + inform me when you have the error again

Dear confocal users, As sometimes there is a problem for starting up the software, mentioning (switch RTC reset button), an adaptation of the switching on procedure is recommanded. These is the case for both Zeiss 710 and Zeiss Exciter. The main principle is that there needs to be some time in between switching the PC on and the components. This allows the Real time controller to get connection . This results in: Zeiss 710: 1. Main switch 2. Systems/PC Wait till computer is on! (f.ex map drives first, but do NOT switch software on) 3. Components Rest can be done as usual Zeiss Exciter: 1. PC components Wait till computer is on! (f.ex map drives first, but do NOT switch software on) 2. System Components Rest can be done as usual I also put a label on the components button mentioning 'wait till PC is on'. Could you please follow this new switching on procedure. Is it also possible to let me know if you would have the error again? This in order to get an idea if the problem is solved. Hey all, Urgently! Does anyone know what happened to the Spinning Disc folder? I could not find it under L:\images\images_cameras anymore, but yesterday when I finished my experiment(around 14;30), it was there.
