Dear SP8 users, I would like to draw your attention to the use of bidirectional scanning and the link to the speed. The use of bidirectional scanning requires a correction factor (phase factor), which depends on your speed. Default is that value set for a speed of 400 or 600. At higher or lower speed, the correction will not be good, resulting in a bad image. Of course you can adjust this yourself until it seems good. Leica can determine the optimal correction factor for each speed, but only 1 value can be entered to be used as default. If there would be a demand for this, I can request to have these other values, which can be insterted manual when you need it (but at least you know the correct factor and don't have to search for it). I can also choose another speed as default value. Please let me know if you are interested and I can arrange this during an intervention. For your information: imaging at a speed of 700, no bidirectional scanning requires for a certain setup 1.49 s. Using a speed of 600, bidirectional scanning needs for the same setup 871 ms.
