Dear Zeiss 710 confocal users, There is an issue with the scanning on the Zeiss 710, causing some 'jumps' in the image formation. Please take a look at the pictures. The jumps are indicated with an arrow. I assume this is also related to the noise we recently hear during the scanning. A temporary solution (or perhaps partially) would be to scan at rotation 90° in stead of rotation 0, as this makes more use of the Y scanhead in stead of the X scanhead, which is probably a bit overworked. Also the noise in this setup is less. In the test sample I observed jumps when scanning with rotation 0° , but not with rotation 90°. (but could be also dued to sample as in this direction jumps are more difficult to see) The company is contacted and I will update you.
