Dear all,
The 515 laser of the Olympus laser is not working properly: the laserlight drops out after +/- 15 minutes being on.
If you were planning to use it, feel free to test and see if this problem is still there.
We didn't observed problems with the 488 laser, although it is part of the same laserbox (argonlaser).
Mostly either all the lasers from this box work, are they don't. This concerns 458, 488 and 515 laser.
If you would encounter very weak signal with one of these lasers, please check the laserlight at the objective. It should be well visible. If not, it means they undergo the same problem as the 515 laser.
The company is contacted.
However I'm a bit afraid that a fast repair will not be possible, as the only available technician is out for a while.
His French colleague will probably not be allowed to come dued to covid rules.
