Dear Leica SP8 users,

The phaseX correction is adapted to a default value of 24.08 (in stead of the -41).
With this value in most of the cases you do NOT need adaptation of the phase X correction value when doing bidirectional scanning.
(So, we are back in the situation as before the upgrade).

In case of problems, don't hesitate to contact Daniel or me.

Gr,

Evelien

Subject: [Confocal] Leica SP8: bidirectional scanning requires phase        correction
Dear Leica SP8 users,

Since the upgrade of the software you need to adapt the phaseX correction when doing the bidirectional scanning (see attach how to do).

Before the upgrade this was (mostly) never needed, but now this is the case.

Without adaptation you get a very strange image (there is a shift from the startposition for each line compared to the previous line, it seems a bit like a splitted image).  (when you see it you will notice that it is not good!)
There is no fixed value to where you need to change, but probably it is in the range of 20.  Look at the image till it looks nice.
I will contact the company to ask if we can go back to the situation where no adaptation is required.
