Dear confocal users,


Please check the position of the condensor before use!  It should be completely up.  You can adapt this by turning the condensor wheel (see attach for picture).

If the condensor is too low, there will not be enough space for lowering the stage.  The microscope will produce a strange noise as it keeps on trying to lower the stage.  At the end this could break the stage!!

The condensor is lowered when peope use covered chamber glass for long time imaging (in stead of slide).
