Dear Zeiss Exciter users,Could you please NOT switch off the Zeiss Exciter?In concrete terms this means that the switching off procedure is limited to switching off the lasers and the fluorescence lamp, but NOT the main switch 1 and main switch 2 and if possible the Zen software and the PC.Leaving the software and the PC on is probably not that crucial, but I would do it out of security.However restarting PC and software could be required in case of crash or map network drives error. (caused by unmapping several times without restarting the PC).The reason for the change in procedure is a problem with the connection to the RTC-box (see picture below).This connection failed already several times with the start up (the light of the RTC box is not going on).As for the moment the connection is working, it would be nice to keep it like that.The adapted switching off-on procedure is printed and available in the help folder ( \\psb.ugent.be\shares\research\images\images_cameras\confocal\Help Zeiss Exciter\20191204_Adapted switching off-on procedure Zeiss Exciter) . Also a note at the screen indicating 'DO NOT SWITCH OFF' is put, please put it back after your session!!These adaptations should be used untill further notice, probably till next Thursday. Johannes, technician of Zeiss, is coming on that day for the repair of Ch1 and he will also look into this problem.In case of problems or questions, don't hesitate to contact Daniel or me.Thanks in advance,
