Dear all, The Olympus confocal is fixed, has a new PC and a high resolution 30inch screen. It should run smoothly now. It is possible that IT still needs to change something on the new PC concerning the mapping of the network shares, I will let you know when this is done. I have also installed an off-line workstation with a high resolution screen in E119 that can be used for image analysis. I will make sure that analysis software (Zeiss, Leica, Olympus, ImageJ, Volocity, etc.) will be accessible through this PC. This PC now also has the dongle for the Olympus off-line license. The PC is not yet connected to the network, but it will be soon. In case people still have images on the hard drives of the old confocal PC, I will keep the hard drive and you can come and get it if you need it. People that have saved their images on the hard drive of the intermediate FV1000 PC can find them now on drives of the off-line workstation. Have fun imaging, Daniel -- ================================================================== Daniel Van Damme Tel:+32 (0)9 331 39 33 fax:+32 (0)9 3313809 VIB Department of Plant Systems Biology, Ghent University Technologiepark 927, 9052 Gent, BELGIUM dadam@psb.vib-ugent.be http://www.psb.vib-ugent.be ==================================================================
