Dear all, This evening, there was again a black-capped bottle of water with a pipet in it standing next to the Zeiss CLSM confocal, strongly suggesting that somebody used this water as immersion for the 63x lens. The bottle with MQ was standing alongside and empty, so somebody apparently found it too much of a burden to go to the stockroom at the end of the corridor to get new MQ water. *Only MQ water from the small machine in the stock room can be used on the water corrected lenses. *I therefore ask you once more to act responsibly and take care of our lenses, they are the most valuable asset of any microscope and their purity will determine to a large extend the quality of your pictures.
