Dear all, Tomorrow we will have an intervention from Leica SP8. They will start probably around 08:30u and will for sure need the morning. The upgrade of the software will be done, hoping that part of the software errors would be solved with that. (not sure if this will be the case, but this is the first step to do. Looking into these software errors only makes sense with an upgraded software.) Also the repair part for the mirrors for the microscope will hopefully be installed tomorrow (if transport goes according to shedule). I know this is very short notice and this will interfere with your experiments, which I really regret. But I don't see another option. I've delayed this software upgrade already a lot as I wanted to shedule this without interfering the users, but this is a challenging task. Sometimes last-minutes intervention pops up if the Leica people need to be at the IRC site, and they try to combine this with an intervention at our place, which is now the case. Please realize that we are out of guarantee period and we need to pay for each intervention, including transport. A combined visit with IRC is for us also interesting. Lucas, Isabelle, Klaas, Most probably your reservation tomorrow could be taken by the intervention, depending on how it goes. I keep you update.
