[Confocal] spinning disc: please register any crashes - errors

Dear spinning disc users, We have some issues with a 'frozen software', sometimes lasers that do not switch on, or slow switching from one lightpath to another. In order to solve these, it's very important to register these items: by a session log and by personal notes describing the problem and the actions and store on a dedicated folder on the cameras drives. You can come and get me. But when not available or around please do the following things: - write down the exact hour of the error-crash (PC hour) - in stead of restarting the software, you could also try to switch off only the Proscan box (= black box on the shelf, it has a paper indicating 'Proscan box' ). If you are patient, it would be nice to wait 1 minute to do this, and write down again the exact hour. (The reason for this waiting is to see in the session log the time of the crash and the time of the switching off). - if this doesn't help, restart the whole system - in case of error message, take a printscreen or write down the error - write the above information down in a document - Get the session log from C:\Users\vibhq\AppData\Local\Volocity6.4.0 (--> even when PC needed a force shut down, the session log is saved. So after restarting the PC you can still find this session log indicated by the starting hour of the session. So, take the session where the crash appeared). - Save the session log and the notes on \\psb.ugent.be\shares\research\images\images_cameras\spinning disc\Problems Spinning disc (new folder, with date and info about timing crash and switching off) Please inform me about the problem!
