Dear confocal users, As sometimes there is a problem for starting up the software, mentioning (switch RTC reset button), an adaptation of the switching on procedure is recommanded. These is the case for both Zeiss 710 and Zeiss Exciter. The main principle is that there needs to be some time in between switching the PC on and the components. This allows the Real time controller to get connection . This results in: Zeiss 710: 1. Main switch 2. Systems/PC Wait till computer is on! (f.ex map drives first, but do NOT switch software on) 3. Components Rest can be done as usual Zeiss Exciter: 1. PC components Wait till computer is on! (f.ex map drives first, but do NOT switch software on) 2. System Components Rest can be done as usual I also put a label on the components button mentioning 'wait till PC is on'. Could you please follow this new switching on procedure. Is it also possible to let me know if you would have the error again? This in order to get an idea if the problem is solved.
