Dear all, This morning at 7.15h, somebody switched off the electricity in part of the building. Unfortunately, this shut down the olympus confocal (and the experiment running). The Zeiss510 was not working and luckily the power in the other confocal room remained on. As the Olympus argon laser was not cooled anymore, it is likely that it will no longer work (it was already not working fine and this power failure will definitely not help). I will try to ignite it again this morning after it has cooled down completely, but please take into account for your current experiments that the laser output (if it will fire again) will be very weak.
