Details:	?Technology Watch for access to breakthrough life science technologies? ABSTRACT VIB?s Technology Watch team continuously scans for novel technologies with disruptive potential in the life sciences and makes information on these technologies available throughout VIB. To reduce the risk of accessing high potential, but unproven technologies, the VIB Technology Watch team offers funding to VIB scientists for projects aimed at using these technologies. Limited Technology Watch funding is also available for access to recently commercialized technologies. Since 2009, more than 100 Technology Watch projects have been funded and in the meantime, several of these projects have led to high-impact publications. This presentation will present an overview of upcoming instrument-releases, services and commercial technologies with breakthrough potential in the life sciences and their applications in a wide range of fields: from DNA/RNA/Protein/Cellular analysis to imaging, synthetic biology, single-molecule analysis, high-throughput screening and beyond. Technology Watch funding for use of these high-potential technologies will be available to facilitate their adoption in VIB.
