Dear colleagues,
Although each omics data is usually analyzed individually, combining complementary data can yield a better understanding of the mechanisms involved in biological processes. Learning integrative bioinformatics methods and tools is thus a major challenge for research groups and bioinformatics platforms.
In this context, the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics (SIB) and the French Institute of Bioinformatics (IFB) offer a Summer School about “Multi-Omics Data Analysis and Integration” for life scientists wishing to acquire theoretical and practical skills in integrative bioinformatics.
This School will take place from Sunday 3 September 2023 ~18h00 to Friday 8 September 2023 ~14h00 at the Centre CAES-CNRS Paul Langevin <https://www.caes.cnrs.fr/sejours/centre-paul-langevin-3-2/> in Aussois, France. This School will be in English.
During the School, several methods will be used and significant time will be devoted to hands-on sessions. The program will be divided into three phases / topics:
Multivariate statistical analyses (Instructors: Arnaud Gloaguen & Jimmy Vandel)
Network-based approaches (Instructors: Morgane Térézol & Marie-Galadriel Brière)
Results contextualisation: an introduction to metabolic models, web semantic and knowledge graphs (Instructors: Jean-Clément Gallardo, Maxime Delmas & Marco Pagni)
The participants will work in groups and shortly present the application of what they have learned to their own project.
Registration is open from today and until the end of May. If the number of applications is quite higher than capacity, we may close registration early, so don’t wait to apply.
Please find more information about this School on the SIB website (https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/20230903_MODAI <https://www.sib.swiss/training/course/20230903_MODAI>). In this page, click on the registration form link. In addition to admin questions, the form includes questions about your profile and previous experience in the field. This will be useful to form groups and to do a selection in the event of massive registration.
A confirmation of your registration will be sent by email in a few weeks, so please double check that your email address is correct and be patient.
The standard registration fee is EUR 650 including full accommodation, and for the members of the SIB PhD Training Network and of the IFB, the fee is lowered to EUR 400.
