<p><strong>Project Manager/Scientist Bioinformatics (BioIT) <br>
</strong><br>
who wants to see his/her outstanding knowledge on the development
and application of bio IT tools used for food innovation. <br>
Job description <br>
• Mix (50/50%) of fundamental and applied research using bio IT
tools. <br>
• Fundamental research will be performed in close co-operation
with TIFN Wageningen and CMBI Nijmegen. Applied research will be
performed for world wide food companies as contract research; <br>
• For applied research, translate customer needs into science and
technology based solutions. Focus areas: fermentation, microbiota;
<br>
• Manage and execute international projects in which bioIT tools
are applied to increase functionality of food(ingredients); <br>
• Scientific and industry network building; <br>
• Work together in multidisciplinary teams with technical - and
scientific experts and business development managers both within
NIZO and from the customer side. <br>

<strong>Your profile</strong> <br>
• Academic level in bio informatics or alike and affinity with the
inspiring world of (dairy) food production <br>
• Ability to translate academic knowledge into industrial
applications <br>
• Personal skills: pro-active, self employer, net-worker,
communicator, creative, pragmatic, results driven <br>
