The National Center for Genotyping (CNG in French) is located in the
French Genopole, in Evry, near Paris. This research center is involved
in major national and international research projects to study complex
diseases according to different biological views (genetic,
transcriptomic, epigenetics, ...) using high-throughput technologies
(high density microarrays, NGS). The important flow of the biological
data produced in the center implies automated data processing
pipelines and the application of complex and integrative
bioinformatics methods.
To strengthen its bioinformatics team, the CNG is immediately
recruiting a qualified bioinformatician. This position will be
integrated into the laboratories of Epigenetics and Functional
Genomics to analyze data produced by last generation sequencing and
epi-genotyping technologies.

The position will require the following activities:
- Project Management
- Data processing: filtering, normalization, pre-processing and
development of automated pipelines.
- Analysis of data: biomarker discovery, construction of predictive
models, analysis of biological networks.
- Data integration: Combining data from multiple platforms,
integrative biological models.

Type of contract: Fixed term contract
Salary: according to candidate's experience.

Education: PhD required in any of these area : Biostatistics,
Bioinformatics or Computer Science with some basic knowledge of
genetics.

Qualifications:
- Skills in Machine Learning.
- Basic knowledge of biology and genetics.
- Knowledge of standard bioinformatics softwares and methods for the
analysis of microarray or NGS data.
- Proficiency in R environment with Bioconductor packages.
- Proficiency in Unix / Linux environment.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (shell, perl, python)
