Dear Biocomp Users,
Yesterday around 17.30h-17.45h Midas crashed for some unknown reason We had to reset it. So check your results from the scripts that where running at that moment.
Cheers, Frederik

I'm suspecting Lieven, Yvans student. Could it be coincidence that he asks information about how many jobs you can submit to the cluster, a script to do this, and how to reach midas from home? Then he leaves (around 16u30?) with the message "I'll let the computer do its job now." ... I think we have a winner :-) (and Abeel a worthy disciple) T.

True... we did however warn him not to submit too many jobs when the runtime of each job takes more than an hour or so. But still, that would have crashed the cluster master node, not midas ( I think).

I gave him the code of my cluster killing programs, but I told him very specifically to be very careful with them. :-s Maybe I shouldn't have giving him the program... Anyway, I hope it wasn't him, because I think I was very specific in telling what he could and shouldn't do. cheers, Thomas Thomas Van Parys wrote:
