Dear confocal users, The fluorescence lamp of the Exciter has been replaced by the X-Cite from the Axioimager. (See attach for picture.) You can use the same procedure for switching on as with the previous lamp (button on). You have an extra option to choose the percentage of output of light by turning the black wheel. If you know that the next user will use it within 5 hours, than it's better to leave it on. (with the previous lamp this was within 30 minutes). But if you don't know, make sure that the lamp is not on for the whole night!!! In casy of any problems, don't hesitate to contact Daniel or me.
