Apologies for cross posting, if this information already reached you.

Dear all,

LCSB is an interdisciplinary research centre recognised world-wide for its activities in the fields of Big Data related to Healthcare, of Bioinformatics, and of neuro-degenerative diseases. We have organised an International Conference on these topics: Big Data in Healthcare, Challenges, Innovations, and implementation, which will be held in Luxembourg on 28/29 October 2015 (http://bigdata2015.uni.lu <http://bigdata2015.uni.lu/>).

This conference has the pivotal role to connect outstanding professionals working on these topics and coming from different fields: academia, industry, policy making and investors. We believe that this event would represent a unique occasion for you to gather the different perspectives of the latest research, regulatory, and market trends, and to challenge them by providing your input on this matter.

The speakers are all renown experts of Big Data in Healthcare and of Neuro-Degenerative diseases, and are either investors, researchers, industry executives or policy makers, and will try to address topics which still represent a challenge:
· Is bioinformatics research able to support industry to standardise and curate clinical data? How these data can be then used by Pharma companies and other industry sectors?
· Is the ICT sector contributing to solve this challenge? Which are the providers involved in this processes, to which extent, and which is the added value? Data centres, cloud computing services industry, HPC suppliers, software providers?
· How public organisations and institutions such as the IMI, the NIH and others are contributing, and why their initiatives have a pivotal role?
· Which are the success stories so far that the industry and the researchers can showcase? Are these impacting the clinical outcome by any mean? How?
· Are the investors confident in the tools provided by these stakeholders so far to address these challenges? What would be their priorities for their investment plans?

The conference is supported by worldwide recognised organisations, public and private, and of international scope.

The registration for the event has been recently open.

Do not hesitate to contact us via email or phone. Looking forward to seeing you in Luxembourg in October,

With kind regards
Venkata Satagopam
