Dear colleague, We are pleased to invite you to the Belgian Research Software Engineering Day<https://www.vibconferences.be/events/research-software-engineering-day-4th-…>, which will take place on December 15th, 2026 at VIB-UGent, Tech Lane Ghent Science Park in Ghent, Belgium. If you are working with software in a research context or develop tools, write code, or support scientific computing, we invite you to submit your contribution to present or demonstrate your work. Please register for this year’s edition and send in your contributions<https://www.vibconferences.be/call-for-contributions-rse26>. During this day, you will have the opportunity to gather with other research software engineers to share your vast collective experience. Join the community for an exciting day of talks and workshops to discuss the challenges you face and the bugs you chase! The following keynote speakers were invited to present their work and insights: Carole Goble, The University of Manchester, UK Leslie de Cruz, VUB, BE Fenne Riemslagh, eScience Center, NL For the parallel sessions, we welcome submissions on software engineering practices in research, FAIR software in practice, development of and experiences with large language models, reproducible workflows, research software for High Performance Computing, and computational challenges in sciences. Formats include posters, demos and (short and long) presentations. You can submit your contribution by October 25th, 2026.
